| “I think it is the actual process of painting that enthralls me and allows me to lose myself in each painting. My subjects, whether portraits, landscapes or still lifes, are chosen to provoke emotion from the viewer.” Art and painting have always been a part of Wally Kaplan's life, but after recovering from two bouts with cancer, it became her passion and concentrated focus. Wally works in watercolor, charcoal, and chalk pastels. “I try to capture the emotions of my subjects; to let the viewer wonder what they are thinking. In the end, the eyes have it.”
